Registered agent service at LegalZoom is $249 a year, flat, on auto-renewal. We found no first-year discount, which at least means nothing changes on you later. The $249 you agree to is the $249 that keeps posting.

It is also the steepest flat annual rate among the national providers we track, and it is $150 a year above a flat $99.

Seven hundred and fifty dollars over five years, for a role that consists of holding an address and moving paper quickly. The premium buys brand recognition. It does not buy a different legal duty.

Arizona Calls It a Statutory Agent, Same Job

Small local wrinkle that trips up national vendors. Arizona statutes name the role a statutory agent, so state forms and Commission pages will say that where you expected registered agent. It is the identical job under a local label, and any provider that seems confused about which term Arizona uses is reading from a script written for somewhere else. The same goes for the filing office: your business record lives at the Arizona Corporation Commission, not at a Secretary of State.
