An Inc Authority Alternative With the Renewal Printed

This is a sales page and Arizona Registered Agent.co wrote it, so factor that in. The argument, though, is not really about our service. It is about a number missing from somebody else's website, and you can verify the absence yourself in less time than it takes to read this page.

The Free Year Is Not the Catch

Inc Authority throws the agent service in at $0 for twelve months when you buy one of its formation packages. We went looking for the trap in that offer specifically and came up empty. No setup fee, no shortened term, no clause clawing it back. If you are starting a company on limited cash, twelve free months of something Arizona legally requires you to have is a straightforwardly good deal, and we would take it too.

Try Finding the Renewal Price

Now the part that is not fine. Inc Authority does not say anywhere public what agent service costs after that first year. We looked at the FAQ, the premium package pages, and the homepage. It is not in a footnote, not behind an expander, not in the terms. It is just absent.

A recurring price that only appears at checkout or on a phone call is a price you learn after the free year has already done its job. And we are not going to invent a figure to fill the hole, because making up a competitor's rate would wreck the one thing this page is claiming. The structural observation is enough on its own: everybody else in this market publishes a renewal, and the renewal is what determines what your business pays over its life. If you cannot see it, there is no comparison to run.

In Arizona, at Least the Escape Is Cheap

Here is the thing that changes the stakes locally. In some states, discovering a renewal you hate means paying triple digits to the state just to leave. Arizona does not work that way. An LLC changing its agent pays the Commission $5, and a corporation pays nothing at all.

So the downside of an unknown renewal is capped here in a way it is not elsewhere. Should the second-year invoice turn up at a number you would have refused on day one, being wrong costs you five dollars of state fee plus whatever the replacement charges. That is a genuinely small penalty for a guess that did not pay off, and it is worth knowing before you decide the missing number is a dealbreaker.

$99 this year, $99 every year after, written down where anyone can read it without opening a checkout flow. Legal papers served at our Arizona office are scanned the same business day and emailed to you, with a copy stored in your vault. Our address appears on the Commission's public record so yours does not. There is exactly one other charge anywhere in our pricing, $15 an item to scan non-legal mail, and it is disclosed up front for the same reason the annual rate is.

Quick correction to any impression we just gave: $90 beats $99, and BetterLegal is the one charging it. On a page arguing that prices belong in public, leaving that out would be embarrassing. Ours is among the lowest annual rates published for Arizona, and the word doing the work in that sentence is published.

Five dollars and one form for an LLC, filed as the L020 with the Arizona Corporation Commission; corporations file their own change statement free. Add $35 only if you need it expedited.

Sort out the replacement before you file, which Arizona more or less forces anyway. The Commission will not treat a new appointment as effective until it holds that agent's signed acceptance on Form M002, so whoever is taking over has already put their name to it before your change is recorded, and there is no stretch of time where your entity shows no agent at all.
